The ACS712 Current Sensor (5A version) is a high-precision Hall Effect sensor module for measuring both AC and DC currents up to 5A. It features a low-noise analog signal path, a FILTER pin to set bandwidth, and delivers a fast 5 µs response time for dynamic current measurements. With a supply voltage of 4.5V–5.5V DC, it provides an analog output proportional to the sensed current, with a sensitivity of 100mV/A. The device ensures safe operation with 2.1 kVRMS isolation between input and output, making it ideal for motor control, overcurrent detection, power monitoring, and embedded system applications. Its small SOIC8 footprint allows easy integration into compact designs.
