The VL53 GY-53 Laser TOF Flight Time Ranging Sensor integrates the VL53L0X and STM32 to provide accurate and direct distance data without the need for complex algorithms. Operating on 3–5V, it supports multiple communication modes including serial, PWM, and I2C, making it versatile for use with STM32, Arduino, and 51 MCUs. With a measurement range of up to 2 meters, it offers high precision even in dark conditions, though strong ambient light can reduce maximum range. Compact at 25mm x 15.6mm, the module features a default serial baud rate of 9600 and automatic high-precision output, making it perfect for robotics, obstacle detection, and industrial automation projects.
