The AB072 Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Tracking Sensor is designed for robotics and automation applications such as obstacle avoidance cars, line counting, and black-and-white line tracking. Using an IR transmitter and receiver pair, it detects objects within 2–30 cm at a 35° angle. The detection distance is adjustable, and the output can directly interface with microcontroller I/O pins or drive a 5V relay. With a built-in comparator circuit, the module provides reliable digital signal output (low-level) and includes power and detection indicators. Operating on 3–5V DC, this module is ideal for robotics, smart cars, and DIY electronics projects requiring precise obstacle detection.
