The H5883 GY-271 HMC5883L module is a compact 3-axis magnetic field sensor designed for precise orientation and navigation applications. Operating on 3–5V, it integrates an ultra-low noise LDO regulator and onboard filters to minimize interference from motors or high-current electronics. Using I2C communication, it can easily interface with microcontrollers, with address selection available through solder jumpers. Commonly used as a digital compass, it helps mobile devices and embedded systems detect direction relative to the Earth’s magnetic field—enabling applications like auto-rotating maps, robotics navigation, drones, and location-based services.
