The GY906 (MLX90614) is a high-precision infrared temperature sensor module designed for non-contact thermal measurement. Mounted on a breakout board with I2C/SMBus interface and optional PWM output, it provides easy integration with microcontrollers. Offering exceptional accuracy of ±0.5°C and a resolution of 0.02°C, it is suitable for both industrial and medical applications. The module supports single and dual-zone detection, with calibration for reliable body and surface temperature readings. Applications include thermal relays, movement detection, livestock monitoring, automotive blind spot detection, and contactless human body temperature measurement.
