The RAMPS 1.4 Board (RepRap Arduino Mega Pololu Shield) is a widely used control shield designed for 3D printers and CNC projects. Compatible with the Arduino Mega 2560, it supports up to 5 Pololu stepper driver boards with easy plug-in headers for replacement and upgrades. Featuring 3 MOSFET outputs for heaters and fans, 3 thermistor inputs, and servo-style connectors for motors, endstops, and LEDs, it ensures reliable and efficient operation. Safety is enhanced with a 5A fuse for electronics and an additional 11A fuse for heated bed control. All MOSFETs are connected to PWM pins for flexibility, while I2C and SPI pins remain available for expansion. With LED indicators and optional SD card add-on support, the RAMPS 1.4 is a robust, versatile choice for 3D printer and automation builds.
